A Bit of History
1969 - Whilst being a student in highschool, Tommy Hilfiger opened his first store, People’s Place, in New York, starting his fashion career.
1979 - He moved to Manhattan to pursue a career in fashion designing.
1985 - His namesake brand launched with a single menswear collection.
Now - Tommy Hilfiger, as a brand, is one of the most well-recognised lifestyle brands there is. - SHIRTS
Since going back to its original menswear collection, Tommy Hilfiger has always been a go-to brand for well-designed and well-made shirts. From your plain, formal shirts to casual, flannel shirts and shirts with crazy patterns, if there’s a shirt you have in mind, it’s pretty much guaranteed that Tommy Hilfiger will have made something that ticks your boxes. Especially if you’re shopping for one of their shirts second-hand, you can find TH shirts no matter what your budget is. You’ll also find that a lot of their shirts will have a fancy ‘crest’ where the normal logo would usually be. The shirts with this crest tend to be more formal and better quality, though a lot of their more out-there designs will also fashion this crested logo.
- JUMPERS
Like all of their garments, Tommy Hilfiger makes a wide range of jumpers, but their best jumpers by far have to be their 100% cotton jumpers. They are made to a great standard and as they’re made of cotton they are NOT itchy. Some of their most iconic jumpers are pretty basic, with big bold stripes and a crew neck, but their colour selection, fit and style means you always know what brand of jumper it is from a mile off! Like their shirts, their jumpers can either sport the normal rectangular logo or the crested logo on the chest.
- JEANS
Most of Tommy Hilfiger’s jeans are under their line called TOMMY JEANS, which tends to have a more modern feel and you can definitely see the pop culture inspiration coming through in this line. They do all of your basic fits in all colour ways, but they also do more out-there and street-style designs too. T-shirts always seem to be a pretty boring piece to talk about, but they are such an essential in everyone’s wardrobe, and it’s great when a brand creates a wide range for us to choose from. TH are great when it comes to your basic tees. They do pretty much all the colourways you can think of and they are always fab in terms of fit. Their small logo is not too in your face if you’re not into showing off that you’re wearing a brand. On the other hand, they do also have some great big logo options, and they have these options within each of their lines. If you want a more classic and sophisticated big logo t-shirt you’d be best off shopping the Tommy Hilfiger Collection, or if you want a more modern and casual-looking t-shirt, you’re better off looking within the TOMMY JEANS or sportswear lines!

Their chinos can be dressed up or down, with their shirts for a more formal look or with their short-sleeved shirts or t-shirts for a more casual look.
