Mindful choices for a better world.

At Go Thrift we don’t think fashion should cost the earth, literally.

Our mission is to provide a more sustainable and affordable way of shopping for clothes online.

We believe that when sustainability meets affordability we can build a society with the power to reverse the fast fashion mindset.

Fast fashion Mindset.

What exactly is Fast Fashion?

In general terms fast fashion is defined by inexpensive clothing produced rapidly by mass-market retailers in response to the latest trends.

Why is Fast Fashion an issue?

The fashion industry produces 10% of global carbon emissions every year. It emits more CO2e than aviation and maritime shipping combined and is estimated to use around 1.5 trillion litres of water annually. One new garment creates 17 lbs of CO2e and over 100 billion garments are produced every year. We need to put the brakes on, fast.

Small changes, big impact!

Sustainability is not about being perfect but about making progress towards positive change. According to the Fashion Revolution, extending the life of a piece of clothing by just 9 months reduces its carbon, water and waste footprint by around 20-30%.

Choosing to buy an item second hand vs new reduces its overall carbon footprint by up to 82%. When sustainability meets affordability we can build a society with the power to reverse the fast fashion mindset. Mindful choices for a better world.
