Festival Fashion Inspo for Your 2022 Festival Looks

Festival Fashion Inspo for Your 2022 Festival Looks

Festival Season is well and truly underway, and what better way to prolong the fezzie feeling than by spending the build-up to your weekend of fun planning and executing the best outfits to rock in those fields. We’re going to look back at the old and new festival trends so you don’t have to. And whether it’s for the looks or practicality, we’ll have you looking the part whilst standing out this festival season.

Headwear

Headwear is an amazing way to take your outfit to the next level with barely any effort. It can be practical too, rain or shine, a good hat can really protect you from the elements! A piece of headgear that never goes out of fashion, especially when it comes to festivals, is the bucket hat. Whilst protecting you from getting sunburnt (which is not a part of the festival look we’re suggesting), a good bucket hat gives you that effortless 90s street style vibe.

Jacket

A good jacket is key for looking the part as well as making your festival experience as comfortable as possible. One thing people forget when they’re at a festival is that the main acts are on way into the evening, this means: IT GETS COLD. Also, if you’re at a British festival, there’s a high chance you’re going to get wet at some point. The BEST piece for keeping you warm into the evening whilst still making you look like a style icon has to be the shell jacket. Usually made out of nylon, they’re great at keeping you dry and also acting as wind-breakers. It’s also so easy to find a really retro looking shell jacket from the 70s or 80s with the coolest colourful patterns on. An oversized, brightly coloured shell jacket thrown on with a pair of wellies is A LOOK. If you do get blessed with good weather, they’re also super lightweight to carry around or tie around your waist!

Shorts

A staple piece in everyone’s festival wardrobe should be a good pair of denim shorts, and the more worn/ vintage looking they are, the better. Denim shorts look amazing with a pair of wellies and they literally go with anything and look good on everyone. If you shop for your denim shorts second-hand as well, you’re sure to find the perfect style and fit for you, knowing no one else is going to have them. Or if you have a perfectly good pair of jeans that you just don’t wear enough, why not get creative and make them into a pair of shorts tailored just for you, by you!

ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING

The great thing about festivals is that you can pretty much wear anything you want, with anything you want, and it looks RIGHT. As long as you feel confident and comfortable in whatever you’re wearing, you’re going to look amazing and have the best time. So we suggest you use this year’s festivals to wear those things you’ve been too scared to wear. That crazy coloured, hippie dress that you’ve not had the occasion to wear yet? Wear it to a festival. Got the most amazing vintage western jacket collecting dust in your wardrobe, because it’s just too much for everyday wear? Wear it to a festival. Those weird-shaped glasses that you picked up on holiday and haven’t worn since - wear them to a festival.

We hope this gave you a bit of inspo for this year’s festival season. The main points being, wear what you want, dress for the weather and have a great time!
